How to Develop a “Master mind” Part 1: Know yourself and correct your weaknesses
All steps to success have to first stem from self-reflection. If our own body and our brains, which serve as our tools to progress and achievement in life, are rusty and incapable, then even though we have the heart to work hard and catch our dreams, we are unable to do it. Our physical bodies and our mentalities have to be developed appropriately in order to do what we must do. Before our body, we have to develop our brains into “master mind,” in order to think clearly and accurately about what steps to take and which path to travel on.
Then what is it that we have to fix first? It’s vague just to say “fix yourself,” isn’t it? Where do we start? I’ve written a little about mentality in other posts, today we’ll talk about changing our personalities.
Change Your Personality In Order to Develop a Master Mind
Napoleon Hill wrote in his book Law of Success that “even the most successful men and women on earth have to correct certain weak spots in personality before they began to succeed.” Why? Because one’s success is built on the foundation of one’s personality.
If you have an amiable, open, easy going and positive personality, then the chances of you attaining your goals are higher than someone with a disheartened, negative, easily jealous, greedy temperament. Why? Because the person with the light and open minded personality is likely to look positively at obstacles and view failures as golden experiences for their next endeavor. Plus, they are good at working with people in either business or social environments (more on this in Part 2!), thus increasing their chances of promotion and jumping on and obtaining invaluable opportunities in life. Contrarily, the person with a conceited, negative or arrogant attitude either put themselves down or cannot work well with others or put themselves down, which results in their inability to step out from their own self-centered, narcissistic universe. They are unable to communicate with the people who may be the crucial link or door to their success. They are also likely to stop in their path of achieving their goals due to these weaknesses in their personality. What are the most common personality weaknesses that we should find and fix?
Napoleon Hill’s List of Weaknesses that Prevent Master Mind development
Hill made a list of the most outstanding weaknesses that comes between men and women and their success, which I quite agree with.
